As per our Terms & Conditions, refunds are not available. However registrations can be transferred across to either another event this season, or to an event next season.

If the transfer is arranged within 7 days of the event, 50% of the registration can be transferred across.

If the transfer is arranged prior to 7 days out from the event, 75% of the registration fee can be transferred across.

Yes you can. Please give us a call in the office – 09 486 0240 with your credit card details and we can add this to your event registration for you, over the phone.

Swim packs are dispatched on the Monday of event week on an overnight courier, so should arrive to you on the Tuesday or Wednesday of event week.

They are delivered “Non-Signature” so if no one is at the address when they are delivered, they should be left in a letterbox or at your door.

If your swim pack hasn’t arrived leading into event day please give us a call on 09 486 0240 or email to info@oceanswim.co.nz and we will be able to track it for you.

Starting waves are calculated for each event based on entrant numbers, and the estimated times swimmers have given us in the registration process.

We can assure you that you’ve been put in a starting wave with other swimmers who have given us a similar estimated swim time.

No sorry, our minimum ages are:

12 years for the  2.6km – 3.5km distances
10 years for 750m, 1km and 1.25km distances
8 years for 500m distance

‘Banana Boat OceanKids’ event is for 7-12 year olds:
7 & 8 year olds – 100m
9 & 10 year olds – 200m
11 & 12 year olds – 300m

There is no flexibility on these minimum ages this season.

Because of the time of day that we’re running the Duke of Marlborough Bay of Islands Classic this year, there are plenty of regular ferry services running and therefore we don’t need a special charter for our event.

You can pre-book your ferry online or simply turn up to the kiosk on the main pier at Paihia to pay for your ferry ticket to Russell.
