The City of Sails is about to be the ‘City of Swims’, as we proudly introduce the Interislander Bean Rock Swim to the Series for the first time, joining our other two events in Tamaki Makaurau.
A familiar favourite on the local ocean swimming calendar for many years, 2021 will mark the 10th time this event has taken place, and is your chance to swim from the lively beachfront of Mission Bay out and around the back of the largest navigational marker in the Waitemata Harbour – the Bean Rock Lighthouse. Plus in keeping with our ‘bean’ theme, everyone gets a bag of free jellybeans at the finish line to replenish your energy levels!
What could possibly be more ‘Auckland’ than taking part in an ocean swim surrounded by other fitness fans, followed by a leisurely lunch in a waterfront café and stroll along Tamaki Drive on a Saturday…
