The Big Tahuna – Saturday 31 March 2018

Taking place off Nelson’s Tahunanui Beach over Easter Weekend, ‘The Big Tahuna’ offers the perfect opportunity for an extended weekend at the tip of the beautiful South Island.

The biggest Tahuna of them all, will take swimmers on a 3km course around the iconic Fifeshire Rock. Other distances on offer include the ‘Step it Up’ 1km, ‘Give it a Go’ 500m and ‘Banana Boat OceanKids’ 200m for 7-12 year olds.

Swimmers will receive the royal treatment from Surf Life Saving New Zealand whilst underway, with guards on boards and in IRBs ensuring the confidence and safety of every swimmer for every stroke of their challenge.

Come and join us over Easter Weekend to welcome a brand new event into the Series!

Are your 7-12 year old kids enjoying their swimming?

Why not extend their skill range and confidence in a safe and fun environment with the Banana Boat OceanKids – a 200m ocean swim. What better way to encourage your children to have fun and be safe in the ocean, than being surrounded by their peers and inspiring life guards! Find out more here.
