The Epic Swim – 11th & 12th January 2024

Take the opportunity to swim alongside some of New Zealand’s best open water swimmers, enjoy the idyllic setting of Lake Taupō and get yourself some excellent practice on the same course as the New Zealand Ironman.

For the first time in history, the Banana Boat Ocean Swim Series is taking to the stunning waters of Lake Taupō!

Set amongst one of NZ’s most stunning mountainous backdrops, Lake Taupō is the place to spend your summer holidays and take on one of the more unique swims in our series. From 5km, up to 10km, you can swim alongside, or compete in, the Orangetheory NZ Open Water Championships where you can be crowned the fastest open-water swimmer in your Age Group (Masters Swimmers included!)

But this isn’t JUST for the elite…we have swimmers of all ages, and abilities, taking on challenges they never thought possible!
